Ack, typing comments as I listen

Analytics can be misleading too. From a play perspective, the bolt action in Blacklight was very underused and really didn't need a nerf. Yet according to Gerritzen, the data on the bolt showed it to be OP and overused.

The reason why consoles sell better to the masses is because

a.) You don't need to upgrade to play new games for quite a while

b.) they go through much more intensive certification and allow games to be developed for a single platform. This means the way a game performs from console to console is more consistent. Of course at the same time that means that fixes for bugs and what not are even slower.

C.) The couch factor. You can't sit down with a couple friends in a couple seconds on PC.

Too much stuff to comment on Q.Q

The machine pistol's recoil goes straight up. It spreads so much that tapping won't really help the accuracy appreciably. The gun is mean to be a simple close range bullet hose. Tapping it just means you aren't taking advantage of its high rate of fire. It's got the highest rof in the game-take advantage of that. Just spray and drag into their head. The spread almost guarantees that it lead into head shots.

Unreal 3 is not outdated. Too many people make the mistake of assuming that it's unchanging. Blacklight is running on the newest version of the engine and is one of the first games using UE3's dx11 features which were added back in march 2011.

Some points.

SMGs actually do have worse bullet groupings (spread) over range compared to an AR. They're using a pistol round so that makes sense. This means that an smg should ideally be easy to control, but not accurate or powerful at range. Imo it should have good starting accuracy but spreads faster and loses more damage over range.

Rick was talking about the smg being OP in previous phases because it's had super easy recoil and passable spread that allowed it to be easier at range than the AR was.

Multiple mechs are only really a problem because people don't work hard enough to take them down. They're meant to be taken down with team work. The weak spot visibility is a bug that they're trying to fix.

You never should try to range a hard suit. The way you take advantage of the weak spot is to get up close and take advantage of the slow turn speed. Get up close and empty into the weak spot. It's even easier now that you can reload while sprinting.

If you want to try a hard game, try the MMO EVE Online. The depth though is amazing in that game. Also this my first time listening to your podcast after hearing about you guys from Don't Revive Me Bro Podcast. Also, congrats to getting into the computer world of games.

I get where you're coming from about people on YooToob "borrowing" your own style and content, then not giving you props... believe me, I KNOW the feeling.

Imitation is just a part of e-life I've come to accept. I prefer the podcast format as it is. The YT community (in particular) is for people with large egos and personalities anyway... you strike me as being a bit more genuine.

C.O.D. is not my favorite franchise, but I've been enjoying the program! Keep rolling like a stone. :)

Macao29,
You're absolutely right. I don't stress at all because as long as I have this podcast going week after week, I'm going to be alright. I like the gaming commentary scene on YouTube but I have to admit that right now, it's saturated with a lot of garbage and junior high school bullshit. Even from the commentators who are old enough to know better. I don't play into that crap by feeding the fires. I just cover it.

Congrats on your sobriety anniversary. Doubly so that you work in the nightclub business. Self control, you has it.

Regarding the YouTube commentary scene....I think theater mode has created more commentators than ever before. There were some real barriers to entry unless you had a PVR in MW2 and before. I think more 'competition' is a good thing though. New ideas will surface and we'll have more opinions to listen to.

Boca or River Plate?

In regards to Hutch's videos and racism...as much as he might have wanted to deal with an issue that is still plaguing our society, he's also paid to get views. The more controversial the topic, the more view, the more money. Now, I don't know if that was his thought process. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt. But even in 'failure' he is succeeding.

Hey saw this through Reddit(black ops) and I have to say it is a great podcast and talks more about the community then just the game play of CoD. Keep up the (hard?) work.
